iPad 2 by far.Other contenders are Xoom, HP Touchpad (if you can find one), Samsung Galaxy Tab, Blackberry Playbook. With less capabilities and bridging the gap between readers and tablets are the Kindle Fire and Kobo Vox.Then there are the awkward and heavy transformers like the ASUS e pad and the Dell Inspiron Duo.

Question by francesca s: question about internet connectivity with tablet computers?
Hi there was just wanting to know, if i was to buy a tablet computer that did not come with 3G connectivity could i buy something so I could use 3g whilst on the go? or is 3g something that would have to emanated built into the computer at purchase?thanks in advance!! x

    Answer by I Like Stories
Depends on the tablet. The way you add 3G to a tablet post purchase is via an USB adapter. Some tablets have USB ports, some don’t. For example an iPad does not have an USB port. The tablet & USB adapter would also have to be compatible with each other.Wifi is available in a lot of places(hotels, coffee shops, restaurants….), odds are just having wifi (comes with all tablets) is probably enough. The only time you might need 3G/4G is traveling in a car.

  • High Tech Parliament – Tablet Computers in the Bundestag | People & Politics

Posted on March 1st, 2012 No comments

Half of all politicians in the German parliament now take a tablet computer to work for surfing online, writing official mails or pursuing more trivial pursuits. They can even use them when making speeches. While some have taken to the new technology like ducks to water, others bemoan a decline in moral standards and insist on still reading from good old-fashioned paper.

  • Does anyone else consider tablet computers big cell phones or toys ?

Question by : Does anyone else consider tablet computers big cell phones or toys ?
    I consider them both.

    Best answer:

    Answer by Hey Arnold!
Yes. I’m not really interested in a tablet until it can do everything my laptop can do. The portability of a tablet would be nice so that I could travel with it, but I need to be able to run butt loads of programs simultaneously while still having enough space to surf the web and stuff like that.
