I want to purchase a laptop but I really don’t have that much money to spend so I’m considering a netbook. I’m not going to be doing anything that requires a powerful computer like gaming and I’m aware that netbooks do not have the same potential as a notebook but my real question is “by how much?”
Will I be able to…
1. Convert and burning dvds
2. Run video/picture-editing, text-editing applications
3. Stream video and listen to music
4. Run multiple applications (if so how many?)
Can a netbook do these things? Will it struggle with some of these things? Which ones? Will it lag? Are they just terrible overall computers? Are they acceptable for a student? On a scale of 1 to 10 how do they perform in contrast to a laptop?
